ASUS TUF FX505 Review

//

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 is a gamer’s dream with its powerful hardware, impressive design, and compact chassis. It has features that have set it apart from the rest, including an IPS display, a gaming desktop-inspired keyboard, and overstrike technology. These features and the laptop’s aggressive design make it an excellent choice for gamers.

IPS panel

If you’re looking for a budget gaming laptop that is also powerful, the Asus TUF FX505 is a good choice. It is equipped with AMD’s Zen+ processors and is available with a GTX 1660 or GTX 1660 Ti graphics card.

The IPS panel on the FX505 is better than that on the FX504. It’s not as accurate in color, and the viewing angles aren’t as wide, but it’s still an excellent choice for games. However, it’s not as good a choice for everyday use as the FX504.

The TUF series is known for its solid build, but its drivers and software could be better. The X-Design on the lid gives it an air of power, but it’s not very polished. It doesn’t come with a DVD player, and there are no Thunderbolt or Ethernet connections.

Vibration resistance

The Asus TUF FX505 has impressive hardware and a rugged design. In addition to the usual stuff like AMD and Nvidia components, this notebook also has a 256GB SSD, a 12-nanometer processor, and the ability to take professional-grade screenshots of your favorite games. It also comes with two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI, and  a proprietary power socket.

The TUF FX505 has been subjected to several military durability tests to ensure its robustness. As a result, it passed the MIL-STD-810G test, a rigorous and standardized test demonstrating a laptop’s ability to withstand harsh conditions.

High altitude

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop powered by AMD Ryzen processors. This model has a MIL-STD-810G rating, which means it has passed durability tests. This includes being tested for temperature, shock force, and solar radiation exposure.

As a gaming machine, the TUF FX505 delivers plenty of performance at an affordable price. The Intel Core i7-8750H processor is powerful enough to run most recent games at medium to high settings. It’s also fast enough to multitask without having to throttle. Aside from its CPU, the TUF FX505DY comes with a Radeon 560X graphics card and a solid-state portion. It is also bundled with some TUF Gaming accessories.

Temperature

If you’re in the market for a gaming laptop, you may want to consider the ASUS TUF FX505. This is a mid-range gaming laptop that is built on a plastic chassis and is available in a variety of graphics cards. The FX505 is also a good option if you’re looking for a budget gaming laptop.

The ASUS TUF FX505 is an excellent all-around gaming device, but it does lack some features that you would find in higher-end gaming laptops. For example, it does not have a Thunderbolt connection or a DVD player.

The ASUS TUF FX505 gaming laptop also has a 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz anti-glare display. The IPS panel provides decent viewing angles and color coverage, but the screen’s brightness levels are not as high as you would like. It also has poor speakers.

Humidity

The Asus TUF FX505 is a budget-friendly gaming laptop with a powerful quad-core AMD Ryzen processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics. In addition, the gaming notebook has a rugged design and passed a series of strict MIL-STD-810G durability tests.

While the gaming laptop does have an excellent build, the cooling system isn’t up to par. Unfortunately, this means that the CPU and GPU cannot keep up with the demands of the demanding games. However, the system does have a Fan Overboost mode that automatically adjusts fan speeds depending on temperature.

Its battery isn’t massive. By today’s standards, the 48 Wh battery is relatively small. Although, it does last about one hour and 10 minutes of use.

Battery life

The ASUS TUF FX505 is a mid-range gaming laptop with an AMD Ryzen processor and GeForce GTX(tm) graphics. The device also features HyperCool technology, allowing excellent cooling while gaming. It also has an IPS-level NanoEdge display. It’s powered by a quad-core processor and up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4 2400MHz memory.

The TUF Gaming FX505 is priced between $600 and $700. The device includes a 120W power brick. However, it does not have a DVD player or Ethernet connection.

The TUF Gaming FX505 features an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H processor with eight threads. It has a base clock of 1.2GHz and a turbo clock of 3.7GHz. It also has a patented trapezoid-cut lid that helps improve cooling.
