Mobileiron Permissions

Mobileiron is a mobile device management application (MDM) from CUIT. It requires iOS or Android devices running version 9 or higher. If you experience any problems, contact it for assistance. In addition, the app requires an active MDM license, so you must have a current one to use it.

CUIT’s MobileIron app may have another MDM program

If you’re running Epic Access on a mobile device, you may already be using another Mobile Device Management (MDM) program. If so, you can migrate to CUIMC MobileIron. This app will install a container on the device that secures pre-defined aspects, such as device identity and settings. MobileIron will not manage data outside the container. MobileIron can be installed on department-owned equipment as well as personally-owned devices. It is not required to install MobileIron on NYP devices.

CUIT’s MobileIron app is available for iPads and iPhones. Its main goal is to make enterprise mobile devices more secure. MobileIron offers several apps that allow administrators to secure and manage user content on the network. It also includes an Umbrella feature that identifies users and devices for administrators to access.

Permissions are static

Android apps require specific permissions to run correctly, and MobileIron apps are no exception. These permissions are static and cannot be changed dynamically. To give your mobile employees the full functionality of the MobileIron platform, you need to grant all the necessary permissions in the Android app. Below, you will find a list of permissions required by your MobileIron app.

Harmony Mobile is another app that will protect your mobile devices. It has a robust protection system for your devices and uses MobileIron’s MDM capabilities to enforce your corporate mobility policies. In addition, you can configure your devices’ security settings through the Harmony Mobile app dashboard.

Once you’ve enabled trusted endpoint management, you need to configure MobileIron Core integration. The admin portal will display information about managed apps, including the trusted endpoint identifier, trusted endpoint configuration key, and managed device space.

The administrator cannot change the text to reflect what Partners have configured in the system.

The MobileIron Administrator can view specific information, like a partner’s phone number, but not personal information. An administrator can only view specific information about the device, such as phone and web browsing activity. However, they cannot view personal email, photos, or videos. In addition, an administrator cannot view personal apps.

MobileIron Cloud supports App Config management for Duo Mobile integration. Administrators can add AppConnect Custom Configuration items and add an API User and Duo API admin user. The Duo API admin user can then update the Duo API config in MobileIron.

The location of the personally owned device is not accessible.

The MobileIron app is designed to keep track of a company’s mobile devices and prevent employees from accessing personal data. Users install MobileIron on their devices and sign into the MobileIron system. This application keeps track of device information like operating system version and phone number for compliance purposes. It also wipes the device clean of company information when a user leaves the company or loses it.

If a company supervises a device, MobileIron Admin can track the location using GPS. But the user’s data cannot be viewed by the administrator. This may constitute a privacy violation for many users. If you feel this app is invasive, you can unenroll your device from MobileIron by contacting your IS Service Desk and requesting to be added to the Watch List.

MobileIron Administrator can view the apps installed on a device and enforce company policies. The administrator can also identify the apps that may put the company at risk. However, MobileIron Administrator cannot access the device’s location or view SMS text messages.
